Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Seyyed Mofid Hosseini Koohsari, the deputy for communications and international affairs of the Islamic seminaries, made the remarks during an interfaith webinar. He expressed gratitude for the virtual gathering and highlighted the common ground between Iran and South Africa, citing leaders such as Nelson Mandela and Imam Khomeini (RA).
Kouhsari stated that South Africa's valuable and principled positions in support of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Palestine, and the Resistance front—along with its condemnation of the United States and the Zionist regime in recent years—demonstrate the intellectual maturity, insight, and courage of the South African nation and government.
The seminary official divided the contemporary world into two sides: the "right" and the "wrong." He asserted that it is now clear to all that the right side of history, led by the Islamic Republic of Iran, represents morality, humanity, dignity, honor, resistance, and the fight against oppression. Conversely, he stated, the wrong side of history, led by the United States and Israel, represents crime, oppression, corruption, falsehood, arrogance, and bullying.
Introducing Iran as the representative of the Resistance front and all freedom-seeking people around the world, Kouhsari emphasized that Iran does not feel isolated in the world. He noted that the interests and achievements of the war extend far beyond Iran's geographical borders. He further expressed appreciation for the solidarity shown by South Africa and other aligned countries, stating that such cooperation reflects a shared understanding of global realities and steadfastness against the hegemonic system.
The deputy for international affairs of the seminaries described the current historical juncture as a transition from a unipolar world toward a multipolar order. He stated that the ideal of global justice is now more accessible and tangible than ever before.
Citing verse 25 of Surah Al-Hadid, Kouhsari explained that the realization of justice, centered on the will and power of the people and nations, has been the objective of all divine prophets and heavenly religions. He described the future of the world in the current circumstances as very bright and promising for achieving this goal.
Concluding his remarks, the senior cleric outlined a significant responsibility for religious leaders and intellectuals in realizing global justice and making optimal use of the opportunities presented by this critical turning point in world affairs. He identified three areas of responsibility: intellectual and epistemological, motivational and inspirational, and practical and behavioral. He called upon all intellectuals aligned with the right side of history to engage in consultation and synergy for the bright future ahead, expressing hope that such elite gatherings would contribute significantly to this collaboration.
